32 Weeks and counting

So everyone is saying "You aren't going to make it to the 29th". I hope their right, but I also think..."when did you get your MD"? Too funny! I am huge and sticking straight out...I will post a pick at 36 weeks so everyone can see just how big I am. The appointment went well today. I met with Julie the nurse, not Uribe, which would have taken hours! The next two appointments are insignificant, and I really like her. We talked about the numbness I am filling down the middle of my stomach and she said it was my abdominus rectus expanding or my uterus stretching. She said it is common. Women experience the numbness in different areas. Mine is right along the middle. We talked about some of my other generic questions and she stated that this baby is weighing right around where Parker did. She said if I hadn't had delivered Parker at 37 weeks, he would have been 8 lbs at term. This one is on track for the same. I had to take an HIV test today. Apparently, there is a new law that you get one at initial visit after finding out your pregnant and again right before you have the baby. Whatever, just another blood draw!!!!! You can tell everything from your urine and blood...:) Appointments are every 2 weeks. So update at 34 and then the big weekly visits start at 36 weeks. Here we go! As far as sleeping. Not good. Moving around, getting charlie horses and peeing all the time! I kicked Trey in the face last night after waking up with a charlie horse of which he was trying to help me stretch out. Poor guy. It is time to start having discussions on who is getting fixed! I vote c-section me, no c-section him. See ya in 2 weeks!

Parkers tree house picks...

I have been watching this out my back window for the last few weekends. Parker loves the fort and is having loads of fun inviting all of the neighborhood boys and girls over to play. His imagination makes this thing so much fun for him. We have lots of work to do, but it is coming along just fine. Daddy is working hard on it, which makes it all that much better!

30 weeks and counting

Well, As expected, it was a miss test. After 5 hours of drawing blood and looking like some beat my arm to a bloody mess, the results are in. I officially don't have Gestational Diabetes. Take a look at the picture to the right. Nice! It makes me wonder why they didn't choose another vein every once in awhile. Anyway...I saw the doctor and will now be coming every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and then will be coming every week after that. I am pretty certain I won't make it to July 29th.

I am so much bigger this one and he is straight out instead of wide like Parker. He is very active and kicking all the time. I hope that means he is my athlete!

Doctor didn't have much to say except the same thing he says every time. Pay attention to babies movement, take your rings off, drink lots of water, etc... oh and he insulted me saying i must not have time for yoga in between all the manicures and pedicures. I think he might have me confused with his westlake clientele.

Regardless, I am so looking forward to delivery!!!!! I am ready to Meet Landon. Attached is the 30 week pick of my belly...see out and in the front! Man am I achy this round.

28 weeks

I am officially in the third trimester. YEAH!

I am starting to hurt and waddle and people keep saying are sure you only have one in there??? I want to be like F-You! I am at 174 weight...which is about 20 lbs gained so far. This one is probably gonna be a 35 lb're.

I had my 28 week appointment today. Had to do the glucose test, which I failed. I think it was just a miss-test...but regardless I have to go back next Friday for 5 hours to get blood drawn every hour after eating a ton of carbs and sweets just to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. I hope I don't! I didn't with Parker, but who knows....I will keep everyone posted.

Landon Patrick is looking good. He was staring right at us at the appointment today. I think he was looking at me...:) He was kicking around a ton after that sugar drink I had to drink in 5 minutes. I am apparently measuring 2 weeks early, which means my baby is measuring bigger than it should be at this stage, not that I am going to deliver 2 weeks early. He is at 3 lbs and should be at 2. She said he is measuring in the 76th percentile for height and 90 percentile for weight...I think. Regardless this baby is on track for an 8lb labor. Which I really don't like. Hell, I couldn't push out 6 what am I supposed to do with 8?

Time to start driving up north every 2 weeks. Time to start paying really close attention to movement of Landon and time to start kick counting for preterm labor.

He is head down already and they said that they typically stay that way once they get down there. Seems like he is ready to roll.

Still haven't received my bedding of which I ordered over 3 weeks ago. They keep sending me an email that says your shipment will be received in 7 days. This would be the third time I have received it. I need it to start painting the room!!!!!We have begun pulling everything out of the attic...changing table, bed, etc.

Parker hasn't said much about the baby these days. He is focused on having fun and watching daddy build his fort. It is looking good. Will post a picture this weekend...:)

I am starting to feel a sense of overwhelment with things to do, and with the whole major decision I have made. Just getting scared and unsure.

P.S. Budgeting sucks!!!

24 weeks

Well, 6 month check up went good. I met with the nurse this time, and didn't get to see the little guy. This was the first visit I didn't see him in some way. He is very active and moving around a lot, so I know he is there. Oh yeah, and the big bump helps...)

Everything seems to be going fine. My uterus is measuring where it should, my blood pressure and everything else is good. We have started the discussions about epidurals and permeant birth control. I am thinking HELL YES on the epidural, and maybe an IUD on the birth control. I really hate taking birth control and I don't know if I am ready to say plug them up forever. Although another 5 years or so, I would think my body would say plug them up. It just seems so final. I am fairly certain I will not be having any more babies, but hey...you never know.

I am bigger and more uncomfortable, however I managed to make it to the top of Enchanted rock while camping last week. It was awesome, but tiresome.

Cute things Parker did this week. Lifted up my shirt and rubbed my belly saying can I feel him? Also told me that "when the new baby hatches, you will snuggle him and kiss him because he can't tell you he doesn't want to be snuggled and kissed"...oh so true!

Believe it or not, my boss told me he wished I could change my gestational period into that of an elephant. Meaning, he needs me at work and can't believe I won't be there soon. Well, that is how it goes....:)

I will continue to update and will check in with more later.

22 weeks

baby-development-22-weeks-pregnant.jpgWell, 22 weeks and counting. Belly is getting bigger. 2 more weeks until my 24 week appointment, which isn't a big appointment. 3 more months to deliver after that. time has flown I must say. I have enjoyed this pregnancy, but it has been harder on me and it seems I am busier at work and more unable to do things around tracking the progress of my baby. It has been great experiencing this with Parker. He is having a great time. every time I eat something he says they baby is eating it to right...:) Today is my 11 year anniversary. Nothing big going on, just dinner and a movie. We are about to do a lot of work on our house and that is our gift to each other this year. Well, if anyone is interested in knowing week to week what is going on with the baby, you can check out the website:

Click on the link or past it in your URL and you can click on the week I am in and see what is going on.

I was looking on the internet for pictures of baby at 22 weeks and found some disturbing photos. A couple of aborted fetus phots and lots of random women showing their belly at 22 weeks. I wonder if they know their photos are public. Heck are mine? Anyway, I am off to a neighborhood easter egg hunt.

Baby Names....:)

The next natural "to-do" item is finding a name. I am certain that the middle name will be Patrick in honor of Patricia, trey's mom, however I am still searching for the first name. Some candidates so far are below:

Jadon
Kaleb
Hudson
Braden
Kellan
Keenan
Weston

This is tough...
